Sandra Daniel graduated from Chelsea School of Art with a distinction in Printed Textiles and continued her studies in Fine Art whilst embarking on a number of commercial projects and commissions.
Between 2003 -2009 she founded desertRose, an independent design based publishing company. She returned to college in 2010 to study printmaking.
Sandra is a member of the Printmakers Council, where she exhibits as part of their long established group shows.
Sandra works intuitively which means there is always an element of experimentation.
By working with simple and direct materials such as paper and textiles which have been commonly used in traditional printmaking methods, she explores shape and colour to arrive at strong and lucid images.
Taking risks whilst printing is part of a playfulness that Sandra considers to be an important element of her work. Her work is in the collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum.
