Jason Hicklin's work is based upon the British Isles and its weather, making images in response to this environment. The techniques used are traditional, in order to cope with working out of doors and to respond to atmospheres and the interaction of the weather conditions with the land and sea. He produces series of etchings and large graphite drawings based on walks around the coast and lakes of the British Isles and Ireland, wherever land and water meet.
